Get a fundraiser banner image that's readable from the road
- For High school students
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
About this exercise
Your class is holding a car wash fundraiser and wants a roadside banner image made in Canva's AI tool. Get Claude to write one paste-ready prompt, plain text, under 90 words. It must say a wide 3:1 banner, allow only the text "CAR WASH $10" in huge letters (the current price), show only bubbles, a sponge and a bucket with no people or cars of real brands, and name both hex colors.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old price. The notes say $8 first; the AI may use it. Try: Add: "The only text is CAR WASH $10."
- Too many words. The AI adds date, address and Venmo, unreadable at 30 mph. Try: Add: "No other words."
- Students and brand cars. The AI follows the chat ideas. Try: Add: "Only bubbles, a sponge and a bucket. No people, no car brands or logos."
- Colors by name. The AI says "red and blue". Try: Add: "#C1121F and #48CAE4."
- Headings and notes. The AI explains banner design. Try: Add: "Output only the prompt, about 45 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Sets the banner shape
- Uses the current price
- Limits the text
- Rules out people and brands
- Gives hex colors
