Get poster art for the science fair with only two lines of text
- For Teachers
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
About this exercise
You're making the science fair poster. You'll generate the art with ChatGPT and add the details in Canva later. Get Claude to write one paste-ready image prompt, plain text, under 110 words. It must say vertical 2:3, leave the bottom third empty for the details, allow only the text "SCIENCE FAIR" and "MARCH 14", and say original characters only: no movie or cartoon characters and no real students.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Cramming the details in. The AI puts the time, place and rules into the image, and image tools misspell small text. Try: Add: "The only text is SCIENCE FAIR and MARCH 14."
- No space for the details. The AI fills the whole poster, leaving nowhere to add the time and place in Canva. Try: Add: "Vertical 2:3. Leave the bottom third empty."
- Following the student vote. The AI uses the famous movie robot or the students' photos, which you can't put on a poster. Try: Add: "Original characters only. No movie or cartoon characters, no real students."
- Getting a lesson on poster design. The AI writes headings, bold text and tips. Try: Add: "Output only the prompt, plain text, no notes."
- Trusting the AI to count words. The AI lists every idea from the notes. Try: Add: "about 60 words."
What a strong prompt includes
