Answer three job application questions with true examples

  • For High school students
  • You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
  • Time about 5 minutes

About this exercise

You're applying to be a summer day camp counselor. The form has 3 short questions. Get exactly 3 numbered answers, one per question, under 120 words in total, plain text, first person. Use only true examples from your notes and the corrected number of kids. Answer 3 must also say you can work every week except the week of July 14 (a family trip only you know about).

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Missing the corrected number. The AI may grab 25 kids, the first number in your notes. Try: Add: "Craft hour averages 12 kids. Use 12."
  • Picking the wrong story. The AI picks the most dramatic story, the scissors cut, even though an adult handled it. Try: Add: "For question 2 use the glitter glue timer story; I solved that one myself."
  • Adding credentials you don't have. Camp applications often mention CPR, and the AI may say you have it. Try: Add: "I'm not CPR certified yet. Don't say I am."
  • Leaving out your availability. The AI can't know about your July trip, and camps plan staff by the week. Try: Add: "In answer 3, say I can work every week except July 14."
  • Not matching the form. The AI writes long paragraphs that don't fit short form boxes. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 3 numbered answers, each 2 sentences under 15 words."
  • Forgetting where it's going. AI adds bold and headings that show up as stray symbols in the application form. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
