Write a true micro-story for a bakery's anniversary post

  • For Marketing and content
  • You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
  • Time about 5 minutes

About this exercise

Your client, a family bakery, turns 30 and wants a short story post about how it started. Get a micro-story under 110 words, plain text, told in third person about the founder, using only facts from the owner's notes and the corrected founding year. No made-up quotes and no hashtags or emojis. End with exactly this line: "Thirty years later, the ovens are still on at 4 a.m."

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Missing the corrected year. The AI may use 1994, the first year in the notes. Try: Add: "Founded in 1996, per the business license."
  • Inventing a quote. Brand stories from AI love a warm made-up line from the founder. Try: Add: "No quotes or anything she said."
  • Getting social clutter. AI social posts add hashtags and emojis by default. Try: Add: "No hashtags or emojis."
  • No closing line. The AI ends with a thank-you or call to action instead of your line. Try: Add: "End with exactly: Thirty years later, the ovens are still on at 4 a.m."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each part: "5 sentences, each under 18 words, then the last line."
  • Forgetting where it's going. AI adds bold and headings that show up as stray symbols in Instagram, which shows asterisks as-is. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."

What a strong prompt includes
