Pick who to involve for four account situations
- For Managers and team leads
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Choose who to involve for each case using the ladder. Exactly four lines formatted "Case N: Role", where Role is exactly one of CSM only, Director, VP or CRO. If several rules match, use the highest level. Plain text, nothing else.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Keeping Case 2 with the CSM. The CSM comment says keep it. Try: Say: "The ladder decides: $100,000+ at risk = Director."
- Not using the highest level. Case 4 matches VP and CRO and the AI picks VP. Try: Say: "If several rules match, use the highest level."
- Extra words. The AI explains each case. Try: Say: "Four lines only: Case N: Role."
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
