Text a customer who missed the kickoff with two options
- For Customer success managers
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write an SMS to Dr. Pace. Start with exactly "Brightly:" and end with exactly "Reply 1 or 2". Plain text, under 28 words. Offer the two kickoff slots as "1) ... 2) ...". Do not mention that he missed it.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Mentioning the missed kickoff. The notes say he did not join. Try: Add: "Do not mention that he missed it."
- Wrong option format. The AI writes the options in a sentence. Try: Show: 1) ... 2) ... with day, date, time.
- Missing the start or end. The AI starts with 'Hi Dr. Pace' and ends 'Thanks'. Try: Give the exact start and end text.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
