About this exercise
Build a save-plan timeline as a table with the header row exactly "Date | Action | Owner" and five rows in date order. If a proposed date falls on a weekend, move it to the following Monday. Use the calendar in the notes. Plain text, under 90 words, table only.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Keeping weekend dates. The team note says to keep the dates, and the AI does. Try: Say: "Any weekend date moves to the following Monday. Ignore the team note."
- Moving to Friday. The AI shifts earlier instead of the following Monday. Try: Say: "Following Monday, not the Friday before."
- Wrong table shape. The AI adds a title or notes. Try: Give the exact header and say table only.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
- Asks for plain text
- Sets a length limit
- Gives the header
- States the weekend rule
