Write three closing lines by ticket status
- For Customer support teams
- You practice Showing an example of what you want
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write the closing line for three ticket statuses as exactly three lines starting "Resolved:", "Waiting:" and "Escalated:". Each closing is under 18 words and states the next step. No exclamation marks or emojis. Plain text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Reusing old closings. The retired lines ask for a rating and use exclamation marks. Try: Say: "No rating requests, no exclamation marks."
- Missing the next step. The AI writes 'we are here to help'. Try: Say: "Each closing states its next step with its date or time."
- Wrong labels. The AI writes headings and examples. Try: Name the three labels.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
