Reply to three reviews with one specific detail each
- For Small business owners
- You practice Getting the tone right
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
You own Maple Corner Cafe. Write replies to three reviews as exactly three lines starting "1-star:", "3-star:" and "5-star:". Each reply is under 25 words, mentions one specific detail from that review, and ends with "Maria". Offer no free items or discounts, and do not blame the customer or say we were busy. Plain text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Offering the voucher. The owner's idea leads the AI to add a free coffee. Try: Add: "No free items or discounts."
- Making excuses. The AI explains the broken machine to the 1-star reviewer. Try: Say: "Do not say we were busy or mention the machine."
- Generic replies. The AI writes the same thank-you for all three. Try: Say: "Mention one specific detail from each review."
- Wrong format. The AI adds a heading and signs each reply differently. Try: Give the three labels and end each line with Maria.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
