Compare sponsor offers using median views, not a viral fluke
Practice: Giving the right context. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
Three sponsors want a spot in your next video. Estimate views with the median of your last 5 videos, not the average, because one went viral. Write exactly 3 numbered lines, one per sponsor, each showing the payout math, then one unnumbered last line: Take: [sponsor]. Plain text, under 70 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not choosing the right view count. The AI averages in the viral video, so Glidewear looks like $895. Try: Add: "Use the median of the last 5 videos: 22,000."
- Not asking to see the work. CPM and sign-up math is easy to slip on. Try: Add a line to copy: "1. Glidewear: 22 x $25 = $550"
- Trusting the sales pitch. The AI repeats the rep's '$900 easy' as if it were data. Try: Add: "Use only the numbers, not the reps' claims."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 14 words."
- Forgetting where it goes. AI loves markdown tables and bold, which show up as clutter in your creator notes. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold, headings or tables."
