Answer a showing request for a home that's under contract
Practice: Giving the right context. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
A buyer asked to see a listing that just went under contract. Reply in at most 4 sentences. The first sentence states the home's status plainly, then say backup offers are accepted and reviewed on Nov 18, offer the two Saturday showing times, and ask whether they're pre-approved. No pressure lines ('won't last', 'act fast', 'hot property'). Write a prompt that gets that reply.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not limiting the length. The AI writes a long sales email with market commentary. Try: Be exact: "At most 4 sentences."
- Dodging the status. AI replies open with "Thanks for your interest in this beautiful home!" and hide that it's under contract. Try: Say it: "Sentence 1: it went under contract Nov 8."
- Leaving out the backup path. The AI says it's under contract and stops, losing a possible buyer. Try: Add: "Say backup offers are accepted and reviewed Nov 18, and offer Saturday 11:00 am or 1:30 pm."
- Pressure and pitching. AI adds "homes like this won't last!" and suggests other listings they didn't ask about. Try: Add: "Ask if they're pre-approved. No pressure lines, no other listings."
What a strong prompt includes
