About this exercise
Your reading goal is 120 minutes a week. In your class, audiobooks count but movies and TV shows of a book don't. Write exactly 4 numbered lines, one per student, each as Name: minutes added = total, then MET (120 or more) or BELOW. Plain text, under 70 words, nothing else.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not giving your rules. The AI counts the movie and TV show, so everyone meets the goal. Try: Add: "Audiobooks count; movies and TV don't."
- Not asking to see the work. Parents will ask how you got the total. Try: Add a line to copy: "1. Jada: 30 + 40 + 50 = 120 MET"
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 12 words."
- Forgetting where it goes. AI loves markdown tables and bold, which show up as clutter in your gradebook comment. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold, headings or tables."
