About this exercise
Write the monthly investor update in plain text, under 110 words. Subject line first. Then exactly 3 lines starting with "Highlight:", 1 line starting with "Lowlight:" and 1 line starting "Ask:". Use only the notes and the verified figures. No adjectives like amazing or incredible.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Preliminary number. The AI says 5 customers. Try: Say: "4 paid customers; the fifth is a pilot."
- Hiding the churn. The AI leaves out the lowlight. Try: Say: "Include the churn as the Lowlight."
- Wrong structure. The AI writes paragraphs. Try: Say: "Three Highlight lines, one Lowlight, one Ask."
- Adding extras. The AI adds cash and the marathon. Try: Say: "Leave out cash and the marathon."
- Markdown. The AI uses bullets. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 20 words."
