- For Project managers
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Create the weekly decision digest in plain text. Line 1 is exactly: Decisions this week. Then exactly 3 lines in the form Decision - Owner - Date (YYYY-MM-DD), for the three decisions marked final. Last line exactly: Open items are in the tracker. Use the final dates and leave out proposals and anything marked draft.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Including drafts. The AI lists the cancellation flow. Try: Say: "Only decisions marked final and not withdrawn."
- Wrong middle lines. The AI includes drafts or uses the wrong date format. Try: Say: "Three final decisions, dates as YYYY-MM-DD."
- Wrong date. The AI uses the effective date. Try: Say: "Use the date each decision was made."
- Missing first or last line. The AI adds a greeting. Try: Say: "Use the exact first and last lines."
- Markdown. The AI uses a table. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 14 words."
