Clean a new-hire roster into a CSV without sensitive columns
- For HR and recruiting
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Advanced
About this exercise
Convert the roster into CSV in one code block with the header: full_name,role,team,start_date,manager. Names in First Last form, start_date as YYYY-MM-DD (year 2026 unless stated), one row per person who starts in December 2026. Leave out all other columns, especially anything personal or sensitive (birth date, home address, ID numbers). Write nothing outside the code block.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Including sensitive columns. The AI keeps DOB or address. Try: Say: "Leave out birth date, address and ID numbers."
- Old start date. The AI keeps Marco's Dec 1 date. Try: Say: "Use the corrected start dates in the notes."
- Wrong rows. The AI includes Sam and Tara. Try: Say: "Only people starting in December 2026."
- Extra text. The AI adds an explanation. Try: Say: "Write nothing outside the code block."
