- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Pull the action items from the meeting notes into a list in plain text. Each line is "Owner - action - due date" with the first name of the owner and the date in Month Day form. At most 6 lines. Include only actions someone agreed to. Do not list ideas, opinions or things said as maybes. No intro line.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Listing maybes. The AI includes the exit survey and party lunch. Try: Say: "Only actions someone agreed to."
- Missing the format. The AI uses sentences. Try: Say: "Each line: Owner - action - due date."
- Missing items. The AI forgets Hana's headcount report. Try: Say: "Include every agreed action with an owner and a date."
- Too long. The AI adds a summary. Try: Say: "At most 6 lines, no intro."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
- Markdown. The AI bolds words or adds headings. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
