Compare two site policies without concluding which is right
- For HR and recruiting
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Advanced
About this exercise
Build a comparison table with the header Topic | Austin site | Reno site | Same or different. Use exactly the four topics in the notes, one row each. In the last column write only Same or Different. Under 140 words, plain text. After the table add exactly one line starting "Check with HR:" that lists any topic where a policy is missing or unclear. Do not say which site's policy is better or what the law requires.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Taking a side. The AI says Austin's policy is stronger. Try: Say: "Do not say which policy is better."
- Wrong verdicts. The AI marks sick leave as Same because both have 6 days. Try: Say: "Compare every detail in the notes; the Same or Different column is only Same or Different."
- Missing the check line. The AI leaves out the flag. Try: Say: "Add one line starting Check with HR: listing unclear topics."
- Header and rows. The AI adds topics or columns. Try: Say: "Header exactly as given, four topics from the notes."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
- Markdown. The AI bolds words or adds headings. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
