Capture a delegation brief as JSON for your task tracker
- For Product managers
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Advanced
About this exercise
Turn the delegation conversation into a JSON object in one code block with exactly these keys: task, owner, deliverable, due, budget_usd, decide_alone (array of strings), ask_first (array of strings), checkins (array of dates in YYYY-MM-DD). Use only the notes and the final figures. Today is 2025-05-05. At most 24 lines inside the block and nothing outside it.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Old due date or budget. The AI uses May 16 or $400. Try: Say: "Use the final due date and budget."
- Missing keys. The AI omits arrays or adds extras. Try: Say: "Exactly these eight keys."
- Including the side idea. The AI adds the repository. Try: Say: "Leave out ideas that are not part of the task."
- Text outside. The AI adds explanation. Try: Say: "Only the code block."
- Too many lines. The AI spreads arrays over many lines. Try: Say: "At most 24 lines inside."
