- For Product managers
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write exactly 3 lessons learned from the OKR cycle as dash bullets in plain text. Each bullet starts with a bold-free label (Keep:, Change: or Stop:) in that order, one of each, followed by one sentence under 20 words that cites a number from the notes. Add one last line starting "Owner for next cycle:" with a name from the notes.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Wrong labels. The AI uses its own headings. Try: Say: "Start the bullets with Keep:, Change:, Stop: in that order."
- No numbers. The AI writes generic lessons. Try: Say: "Each bullet cites a number from the notes."
- Missing owner line. The AI ends without it. Try: Say: "End with Owner for next cycle: and the name."
- Extra bullets. The AI adds a fourth lesson on tools. Try: Say: "Exactly three bullets."
- Markdown. The AI bolds labels. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each bullet: "each bullet under 20 words."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
