About this exercise

Write a facilitator script for a 30-minute pre-mortem for the March 12 launch, in plain text with five timed steps, one per line: HH:MM-HH:MM Step - what you say. Start at 15:00. Each line has a short quoted sentence you say aloud, in double quotes, under 20 words. Steps must be in this order: frame, silent writing, share, vote, assign owners. Total exactly 30 minutes.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Wrong order. The AI votes before sharing. Try: Say: "Order: frame, silent writing, share, vote, assign owners."
  • No spoken lines. The AI describes steps without quotes. Try: Say: "Include a short quoted sentence to say aloud."
  • Missing constraints. The AI forgets round-robin and 3 votes. Try: Say: "Use the notes: round-robin, no solutions, 3 votes, top 3 owners."
  • Markdown. The AI uses a table. Try: Say: "Plain text lines."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 28 words."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
