About this exercise
Write the follow-up email after the retro. Plain text, subject first, under 100 words. Start the body with the sentence: Here are the three actions we agreed. Then exactly 3 numbered lines in the form: 1. Action - Owner - Date. End with: Reply by Thursday if I got anything wrong. Use only agreed actions and the final owners.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Naming the old owner. The AI assigns the pairing to Dev. Try: Say: "Alma took the checkout bug."
- Adding unagreed ideas. The AI lists the espresso machine. Try: Say: "Only the three agreed actions."
- Wrong opening. The AI starts with 'Hi team'. Try: Say: "Start the body with: Here are the three actions we agreed."
- Formatting. The AI adds bold and bullets. Try: Say: "Plain text, numbered lines."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each action line under 14 words."
