Output a weekly status as JSON with status, risks and ask
- For Product managers
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Output this week's status as a JSON object in one code block with exactly these keys: status (one of green, amber, red), launch_date (YYYY-MM-DD), risks (array of at most 2 short strings), ask (string or null). Use the rule in the task: red if the launch date will be missed, amber if a risk is open but the date holds, green otherwise. Use the latest facts. At most 10 lines inside the block and nothing outside it.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Including resolved issues. The AI lists the sandbox outage. Try: Say: "Only open risks, at most 2."
- Wrong status. The AI says red from the outage. Try: Say: "Amber: a risk is open but the date holds."
- Wrong date format. The AI writes Dec 9. Try: Say: "launch_date as YYYY-MM-DD."
- Vague ask. The AI leaves the ask empty or generic. Try: Say: "Ask the security team to confirm the Nov 26 slot by Friday."
- Extra text. The AI explains the status. Try: Say: "Only the code block."
- Too many lines. The AI pretty-prints. Try: Say: "At most 10 lines inside."
