Thank three five-star reviewers with a detail from each
Practice: Giving the right context. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You own Hollow Oak Bike Repair and want to reply to 3 new 5-star reviews. Write exactly 3 numbered replies, one per review in order, each under 25 words, each thanking the reviewer by first name and mentioning one specific detail from their review. No discounts or offers, no "we appreciate your business", and only the plain-text list.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Generic thank-yous. The AI writes three nearly identical replies that could fit any review. Try: Add: "Mention one specific detail from each review."
- Offering perks. To reward loyalty, the AI adds "10% off your next tune-up". Try: Add: "No discounts or offers."
- Robotic phrases. "We appreciate your business!" is the AI's default sign-off. Try: Add: "Never say we appreciate your business."
- No length or names. Replies run long and skip the reviewer's name. Try: Add: "Each under 20 words, thanking them by first name."
- Getting labeled sections. The AI bolds each review's name as a heading. Try: Add: "Exactly 3 numbered lines, plain text."
What a strong prompt includes
