Write a just-sold postcard without the sale price
Practice: Giving the right context. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're an agent mailing "Just Sold" postcards to neighbors of a home you sold. Write the postcard text under 50 words: the address first, then the days on market, then a soft invite to talk about their own home, ending with your name and phone exactly as "Tasha Ruiz, (503) 555-0147". The seller asked you not to share the sale price, so leave it out, and use plain text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not mentioning the seller's request. Sale price and over asking are the most impressive facts, so the AI leads with them. Try: Add: "Never mention the price, over asking or offers."
- Using the wrong figure. The Facebook mistake (6 days) is in the notes, and the AI may pick it. Try: Add: "Days on market is 9."
- Not setting the order and ending. The AI opens with a hook and signs off with the agency name only. Try: Add: "Address first. End with: Tasha Ruiz, (503) 555-0147"
- Trusting the AI to count words. Postcards come back at 80 words with bold headers. Try: Cap it: "3 sentences under 10 words each, then my name and phone."
- Getting formatting. The AI adds a bold JUST SOLD headline. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold."
