About this exercise
You're writing a voice guide for Kettlebell Coffee from past posts. Write a prompt for a markdown table with columns Trait | Do | Don't and exactly three rows: Short sentences, Plain words, Dry humor. Each Do is a quote of 12 words or fewer copied word for word from the on-brand posts, and each Don't is a quote copied word for word from the off-brand post. Under 100 words, no other text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Paraphrasing the examples. The AI writes examples in its own words. Try: Say: "Quotes copied word for word."
- Mixing posts. The AI takes a Don't from an on-brand post. Try: Say: "Do from posts A to D; Don't from Post E only."
- Adding extra rows. The AI adds emoji or exclamation traits. Try: Say: "Exactly three rows."
- Letting markdown through. AI adds bold text and headings by default. Try: Add: "Plain text only, no bold, no headings."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and often runs past a word limit. Try: Cap each part (for example "each line under 15 words") so the total lands well under the limit.
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the columns
- Lists the three traits
- Requires verbatim quotes
- Splits on-brand and off-brand sources
- Caps quote and length
