Write speaker notes for a 4-slide talk to local owners
- For Small business owners
- You practice Saying who it's for
- Time about 5 minutes
About this exercise
You're giving a 4-slide talk at the Millbrook Chamber of Commerce breakfast. Write speaker notes as exactly 4 numbered lines, one per slide, each under 35 words. Line 1 opens with a question to the room. Use your current numbers, not the ones from last year's flyer. The last line ends with exactly: Find us at table 12. Plain text, under 150 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the flyer numbers. The flyer is in your notes, and the AI mixes its old stats in. Try: Add: "Use the September numbers only: 3 locations, 38%."
- A flat opening. The AI opens with 'Hi, I'm...' instead of grabbing the room. Try: Add: "Open line 1 with a question to the room."
- No closing ask. The AI ends with 'Thank you!' and no next step. Try: Add: "End the last line with: Find us at table 12."
- A full speech. The AI writes paragraphs with headings for each slide. Try: Say: "Exactly 4 numbered lines, each under 35 words. Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting words, so a total word cap usually lands over. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 30 words."
What a strong prompt includes
