About this exercise

Fill this template for the competency "Handling conflicting priorities" for a Project Coordinator role. Plain text, labels in order: Question:, Probe 1:, Probe 2:, Strong answer includes:, Weak answer includes:, Do not ask:. Question starts "Tell me about a time" and is under 25 words. Each probe is under 15 words. Strong and weak are each under 20 words and based on the notes. Do not ask lists the topics to avoid. Same kit is used for every candidate. HR reviews before use.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Personal probes. The AI asks about childcare or work-life balance. Try: Say: "Do not ask about family, health, age, nationality, accents or free time."
  • Not behavioral. The AI asks 'How would you handle'. Try: Say: "The question starts Tell me about a time."
  • Generic strong answer. The AI invents its own indicators. Try: Say: "Base strong and weak answers on the notes."
  • Missing labels. The AI uses a numbered list. Try: Say: "Labels in this exact order."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
  • Markdown. The AI bolds words or adds headings. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
