About this exercise
Fill in this template using only the approved terms. Plain text, keep the labels in this order: Dear:, Role:, Start date:, Base salary:, Bonus:, Manager:, Open items for HR:. Where a term is not approved, write "Not approved" in that field and list it under Open items for HR:. Do not add benefits, equity or promises. HR and legal review the offer before sending; this is a draft.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Promising unapproved perks. The AI writes in the $3,000 signing bonus or 4-day week. Try: Say: "Use only approved terms. Write Not approved otherwise."
- Filling gaps. The AI invents a bonus or expiry date. Try: Say: "List missing terms under Open items for HR:."
- Free-form letter. The AI writes a full letter. Try: Say: "Keep the labels in this order."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
- Markdown. The AI bolds words or adds headings. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
