Build a logistics checklist for an on-site interview day
- For Recruiters
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Turn the scattered notes into a checklist for the recruiter in plain text with these headings: Before the day, Day of. Each task is one line starting with "[ ] " and under 12 words, with the owner's first name and the due time in parentheses when the notes give them. At most 12 tasks. Use only tasks in the notes and skip the travel bookings (flight and hotel are already done). Do not include tasks about asking candidates personal questions.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Adding the plant tour. The AI includes unapproved suggestions. Try: Say: "Use only tasks in the notes."
- Missing owners and times. The AI drops due times. Try: Say: "Add the owner and due time in parentheses when given."
- Headings and format. The AI invents Travel/Lunch sections or long lines. Try: Say: "Only the headings Before the day and Day of; each task a short [ ] line."
- Markdown. The AI bolds headings. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each task under 10 words."
