Find outdated claims on your bakery's About page

Practice: Catching mistakes and made-up facts. About 5 minutes.

About this exercise

Before your bakery's website refresh, you want to check 5 claims on the About page against your current records. You want exactly 5 numbered lines, one per claim, labeled Current, Outdated, or No record, with the current fact after any Outdated label. Use only your records, plain text, nothing else.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Trusting the old page. The page reads well, so the AI assumes it's still true unless asked to compare. Try: Say: "Check each claim against my current records."
  • No fixed labels. The AI writes suggestions instead of a clear verdict per claim. Try: Give them: "Current, Outdated, or No record."
  • Getting new copy. The AI rewrites the page, which you can do after you know what's wrong. Try: Say: "Label only, no rewrite."
  • Not saying how many. The AI decides the length itself and usually returns more lines, one per claim than you can use. Try: Be exact: "exactly 5 numbered lines, one per claim."
  • Getting markdown back. AI defaults to bold labels and headings, which show up as stray symbols in your website to-do list. Try: Ask for "plain text, no bold, no headings."

What a strong prompt includes
