- For Revenue operations
- You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
A new rep, Tariq, asks what each line on his statement means. Write exactly 5 plain-text lines in the form "Line name: one plain sentence" in the same order as the statement, each sentence under 22 words. Use only the plan excerpt. If the plan excerpt doesn't define a line, the sentence must be exactly "Not defined in the plan; ask Payroll." Do not calculate any payouts.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the retired rule. The AI explains draw recovery from the 2025 note. Try: Add: "Use the 2026 plan only; the 2025 plan was retired."
- Guessing undefined lines. The AI invents a plausible explanation. Try: Add: "If the plan doesn't define a line, write exactly: Not defined in the plan; ask Payroll."
- Calculating payouts. The AI computes dollar amounts for Tariq. Try: Add: "Do not calculate payouts."
- Wrong layout. The AI uses a table or bold headings. Try: Add: "Five plain-text lines, Line name: sentence, in the statement order."
What a strong prompt includes
