Apply a duplicate-matching rule to six account pairs
- For Revenue operations
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Apply the rule to the six pairs. Write a markdown table with columns Pair, Result, Reason, one row per pair. Result must be exactly Match, Review or No match. Each Reason is 10 words or fewer. Use only the rule below, and output only the table.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Treating Limited as Ltd. The AI assumes 'Limited' equals 'Ltd' and returns Match for pair 2. Try: Add: "Remove only inc, llc and ltd; 'limited' stays."
- Matching free-mail pairs. The AI marks pair 3 as Match because everything is identical. Try: Add: "A free-mail domain means Review, not Match."
- Fuzzy matching. The AI calls Delta Print / Delta Prints a match. Try: Add: "Names must be identical after normalizing; no fuzzy matching."
- Wrong format. The AI writes a paragraph or long reasons. Try: Add: "Table only, columns Pair | Result | Reason, reasons 10 words or fewer."
What a strong prompt includes
