Build a seat-reclaim CSV from a license export
- For Revenue operations
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Build a reclaim list as CSV in a single code block. Header row exactly: name,email,last_login,days_inactive. Include only users inactive for 90 or more days as of Nov 6, 2026, excluding Admins and anyone on leave. Sort by days_inactive from largest to smallest. Count days exactly. Outside the code block write at most one line of 12 words or fewer.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Wrong cutoff. The AI includes Ben at 88 days or drops Eli at 91. Try: Add: "Include only 90 or more days inactive as of Nov 6, 2026."
- Including admins and leave. The AI lists everyone inactive. Try: Add: "Exclude Admins and anyone on leave."
- Wrong header or order. The AI uses its own columns and sorts by name. Try: Add: "Header exactly name,email,last_login,days_inactive; sort days_inactive largest first."
- Explaining around the CSV. The AI adds a paragraph of notes. Try: Add: "One code block; at most one line of 12 words outside it."
