- For Revenue operations
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Advanced
About this exercise
Reps ask how the Nov 1 commission rate change affects the quarter. Write four plain-text lines starting Before Nov 1:, From Nov 1:, Total:, Note:. Show the math in the first three lines. The rate depends on the contract signature date, not the booking date. The Note line must be exactly "Illustration only; Payroll issues actual statements." Under 70 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the booking date. The AI puts the Oct 30 deal in the 10 percent group because it was booked Nov 2. Try: Add: "The rate is set by the signature date, not the booking date."
- Applying one rate. The AI applies 10 percent to everything. Try: Add: "8 percent before Nov 1, 10 percent from Nov 1; split the deals."
- Wrong note. The AI rewrites the disclaimer. Try: Add: "Note line exactly: Illustration only; Payroll issues actual statements."
- Extra explanation. The AI adds paragraphs on the policy. Try: Add: "Four plain-text lines, under 70 words."
