Write a weekly RevOps update from a ticket log
- For Revenue operations
- You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write the weekly RevOps update as exactly three plain-text lines starting Done:, Blocked:, Next week:. A reopened ticket is not done. Next week lists tickets due Nov 9 to Nov 13 plus any reopened ticket, with ticket IDs. Each line under 25 words. Under 70 words in total.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Counting the reopened ticket. The AI lists RO-210 as done because the log says Done. Try: Add: "A reopened ticket is not done."
- Listing out-of-week tickets. The AI includes RO-219 and RO-221 in next week. Try: Add: "Next week: tickets due Nov 9 to Nov 13 plus reopened tickets only."
- Missing the blocker reason. The AI writes 'blocked' without the cause. Try: Add: "Blocked: name the ticket ID and what it is waiting on."
- Wrong format. The AI writes a bulleted report with headings. Try: Add: "Exactly three plain-text lines, under 70 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the three labels
- Treats reopened tickets
- Sets next-week rule
- Asks for ticket IDs
- Plain text and cap
