About this exercise
Build a fee table for the Alder Foods engagement with columns Phase, Days, Math, Fee, then a Total row. The day rate is $1,500, but write all numbers plain, with no $ signs or commas (like 4 x 1500 = 6000). Add one last line starting "Not in fee:" naming what is billed separately. Under 120 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old draft. The AI prices at $1,350 and 12 days. Try: Add: "Use the current day rate of 1500 and the three phases; ignore the September draft."
- Dollar signs and commas. The AI writes $6,000. Try: Add: "Plain numbers only: no $ signs or commas."
- Missing the exclusions. The AI folds expenses into the fee or skips them. Try: Add: "Last line: Not in fee: travel and expenses at cost, capped at 2000."
- Extra commentary. The AI adds payment terms and budget advice. Try: Add: "Table plus the Not in fee line only, under 120 words."
