About this exercise
Write a Slack message to the deal desk about the Westbrook Hardware deal. Use exactly four plain-text lines starting Deal:, Ask:, Math:, Needed by:. Show the discount math. Say what you are asking approval for without saying it is already agreed with the customer. No greeting. Under 70 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Claiming it's agreed. The AI writes 'customer agreed to 18%'. Try: Add: "Nothing is agreed; you are asking for approval."
- Missing math. The AI says 'about 18%' with no calculation. Try: Add: "Math: 100,000 - 82,000 = 18,000 = 18% of list."
- Greeting and chatter. The AI opens with 'Hi team, hope you're well'. Try: Add: "No greeting. Four labeled lines only."
