- For Small business owners
- You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
A new client, Dani, asked four questions. Write exactly 8 plain-text lines: Q1:, A1:, Q2:, A2:, Q3:, A3:, Q4:, A4:. Each A line is under 22 words and uses only the policy. If the policy doesn't cover a question, the A line is exactly "Please ask me directly - I'll answer within one business day." No prices beyond those in the policy.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Inventing album prices. The AI offers albums and guesses a price. Try: Add: "If the policy doesn't cover it, the A line is exactly: Please ask me directly - I'll answer within one business day."
- Missing deposit details. The AI says the deposit is refundable or skips the one move. Try: Add: "A1 states $75, non-refundable, can move once."
- Wrong layout. The AI writes a friendly email with a greeting. Try: Add: "Exactly 8 plain-text lines labeled Q1:, A1: ... Q4:, A4:. No greeting."
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the eight labels
- Policy only
- Fallback wording
- Caps answers
- No extra prices
