About this exercise
Reply to Tomas Reyes at Brightway Dental with the annual price for 25 seats. No quote has been issued yet, so use the current list price, not the printed sheet. Write a plain-text email under 80 words with no greeting line. Line 1 must be exactly in the form "Annual price: 25 seats x $[rate] x 12 = $[total]". Line 2 must start "Onboarding:" with the one-time fee and what it covers. Do not offer a discount or a deadline. Sign off as Dana.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the printed sheet. The AI grabs the first price it sees, the August $42 figure. Try: Add: "No quote was issued, so use the current $46 list price from finance, not the August sheet."
- Offering a sweetener. The AI adds a friendly discount or a limited-time line to close the deal. Try: Add: "Do not offer a discount, price lock or deadline."
- Burying the price. The AI opens with a greeting and pleasantries and puts the number later. Try: Add: "No greeting. Line 1 is exactly: Annual price: 25 seats x $46 x 12 = $13,800."
- Long, formatted email. The AI adds bold text and long paragraphs. Try: Add: "Plain text, under 80 words."
