About this exercise

Write the executive summary for a proposal to a clinic owner. Use exactly three plain-text headings on their own lines: Problem, Plan, Investment. Under Investment, show the addition of the three line items you are charging (leave out the optional add-on) like "A + B + C = total". Under 160 words, plain text, no bullets.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Adding the optional extra. The AI bundles the add-on into the total. Try: Add: "Leave out the optional add-on from the total."
  • Skipping the math. The AI states a total without showing the sum. Try: Add: "Show the addition like A + B + C = total."
  • Promising results. The AI says no-shows will drop by a percent. Try: Add: "Do not promise any specific result."
  • Markdown and bullets. The AI bolds headings and bullets everything. Try: Add: "Plain text headings on their own lines, no bullets."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and runs long when you only give a total. Try: Cap each part, like "each line under 15 words," so the total lands well under the limit.

What a strong prompt includes

  • Names the three headings
  • Asks to show the sum
  • Excludes the add-on
  • Bans result promises
  • Plain text
