About this exercise
Ava Chen is on a Starter trial and sent three questions. Reply in plain text with exactly six lines: Q1:, A1:, Q2:, A2:, Q3:, A3:. Each Q line restates her question in 8 words or fewer; each A line is under 20 words and uses only the product sheet. If the sheet doesn't answer, write "I'll confirm with our product team and reply by Friday." and nothing else in that answer.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Trusting the marketing page. The AI repeats the older page: Excel export and unlimited API calls. Try: Add: "Use the product sheet only; ignore the older marketing page."
- Inventing a rate limit. The AI fills the gap with a plausible number. Try: Add: "If the sheet doesn't answer, the answer is exactly: I'll confirm with our product team and reply by Friday."
- Wrong layout. The AI writes a friendly email with a greeting and sign-off. Try: Add: "Exactly six lines labeled Q1:, A1:, Q2:, A2:, Q3:, A3:. No greeting."
- Wordy answers. The AI explains plans and upsells. Try: Add: "Each answer under 20 words; under 120 words total."
What a strong prompt includes
