Find a source legal will accept for an ad claim
- For Marketing and content
- You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
- Time about 5 minutes
About this exercise
You want the ad line "America's top-rated blender" for the Vortex 9, and legal only accepts a source that is independent, from the last 12 months (today is Nov 6, 2026), and explains its method. From the search results, write exactly 3 numbered lines labeled Use:, Don't use: and Rewrite:, where Rewrite: is the ad line changed so it says only what the Use: source supports. Plain text, under 90 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not giving legal's tests. The AI accepts the press page or the affiliate list because they say exactly what you want. Try: Add: "Independent, from the last 12 months, and explains its method."
- Keeping the original line. The AI says the claim is fine "with a citation" even though no good source says top-rated overall. Try: Add: "Rewrite the line so it says only what that source supports."
- Not giving the date. The AI doesn't know today's date, so the 2024 review looks fine. Try: Add: "Today is Nov 6, 2026."
- Long or formatted output. AI writes a source-by-source review in bold. Try: Add: "Exactly 3 lines: Use:, Don't use:, Rewrite:. Plain text."
