Compare offsite venues from their pages, with the math
- For Office and admin
- You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
- Time about 5 minutes
About this exercise
You're booking a one-day offsite for 45 people and saved pages for 3 venues. Write exactly 4 numbered lines: one per venue showing its total as math (room fee + per-person rate x 45 = total), or saying it can't fit 45 people, then a last line starting Pick: with the cheapest venue that fits. Use the venue's own page when a review site disagrees. Plain text, under 100 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not saying which page wins. The AI uses the old $45 review price, which makes Larkspur look cheapest. Try: Add: "Use the venue's own page when a review disagrees."
- Forgetting capacity. The AI picks Bayview because it's cheapest, even though it seats 40. Try: Add: "Rule out any venue that can't seat 45."
- Not showing the math. The AI states totals you can't check. Try: Show the shape: "Foundry: 800 + 70 x 45 = $3,950."
- Pick before the numbers. The AI leads with its recommendation. Try: Add: "Pick: goes last."
- Long or formatted output. AI writes a bold pros-and-cons list. Try: Add: "Each line under 20 words, plain text."
