Turn your security class notes into a practice quiz
- For High school students
- You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
- Time about 5 minutes
About this exercise
Make a practice quiz from your notes for tomorrow's test: exactly 5 numbered questions, then an 'Answers' heading with short answers. Use only facts from your notes, and where Ms. Park corrected a slide, use her correction. Plain text, under 130 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old slide. The AI takes '8 characters' from the slide and misses the correction. Try: Say: "Where Ms. Park corrected a slide, use her correction."
- Adding outside facts. The AI adds questions on things your class didn't cover. Try: Add: "Use only facts from my notes."
- No answer key. The AI mixes answers into the questions or leaves them out. Try: Ask: "Then an Answers heading with short answers."
- Too many questions. The AI writes 10 or more with explanations. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 5 numbered questions."
- Letting markdown in. AI adds bold and headings by default, and in a printed sheet they show up as stray symbols. Try: Add: "Plain text only, no bold, no headings."
What a strong prompt includes
- Uses only the notes
- Uses the correction
- Asks for an answer key
- Says exactly how many
- Asks for plain text
