Plan a 10-second Sora reel without a fake customer
- For Marketing and content
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
About this exercise
You're making a 10-second vertical reel for Brightleaf tea with Sora. Get Claude to write the Sora prompt: a first line stating vertical 9:16 and 10 seconds, then exactly 4 numbered shots, each with its duration in seconds and a camera term, adding up to 10 seconds. Plain text, under 160 words. No person talks to the camera or poses as a customer (no testimonials), and the only on-screen text is "Steep. Sip. Slow down." in the last shot.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Making a fake review. The AI follows the social manager and scripts a realistic person praising the tea, which is a made-up testimonial. Try: Add: "No person speaks to the camera. No testimonials."
- Using the unapproved line. The AI picks the catchier health claim. Try: Add: "Only on-screen text: Steep. Sip. Slow down., last shot."
- No timing. Without per-shot durations, the clip drifts to 15 seconds or more. Try: Show it: "1. (0-2s) Close-up: ..." and "total 10 seconds".
- No camera language. The AI lists moments but not how they're filmed. Try: Add: "Each shot names a camera term."
- Formatted production doc. The AI makes a table with bold headings. Try: Add: "Plain text, under 110 words, no notes."
What a strong prompt includes
- Sets shape and length
- Asks for 4 numbered shots
- Gives each shot a duration
- Rules out fake testimonials
- Limits on-screen text
