Change only the background of your own headshot

About this exercise

You want ChatGPT to update the background of your own agent headshot for your website. Get Claude to write the edit request as exactly 4 numbered instructions, plain text, under 80 words. Instruction 1 says not to change your face, skin, hair, body shape or clothes. The new background is a softly blurred bright office in your brand teal, given as hex #2A7F7F. Instruction 4 keeps the same square 1:1 crop and says to add nothing else.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

• Taking the friend's advice. The AI smooths, slims and restyles you, so clients won't recognize you. Try: Start with: "1. Do not change my face, skin, hair, body shape or clothes."
• Vague background. "Make the background nicer" gives a random scene. Try: Add: "Softly blurred bright office, teal #2A7F7F."
• Letting the crop drift. Edit tools reframe the shot or add props like a SOLD sign. Try: End with: "4. Keep the same square 1:1 crop and add nothing else."
• Paragraph with headings. The AI writes one long styled request with tips. Try: Add: "Exactly 4 numbered instructions, plain text, each under 20 words."

What a strong prompt includes

• Sets the number of steps
• Describes the background
• Protects your face
• Keeps the crop
• Asks for plain text
