Check a board report summary against the program data
Practice: Catching mistakes and made-up facts. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
Your program director's board report summary goes out Monday. Ask for a check against the program data: exactly 3 numbered lines, each starting 'Accurate', 'Inaccurate' or 'Missing', and giving the data in under 20 words. Then one final line starting 'Lead with:' naming the one number the board should see first. Plain text, no rewritten summary. Write a prompt that gets that check.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Asking for a polish. The AI makes the summary sound better and keeps the wrong numbers. Try: Show it: "Exactly 3 numbered lines starting Accurate, Inaccurate or Missing."
- Not checking the data. The AI accepts '85 new pairs' because it can't know 85 was applications. Try: Add: "Check every claim against the program data."
- No clear lead, or a rewrite. Without a 'lead with' line, the director still won't know what matters most. Try: Add: "End with Lead with: and one number. No rewrite. Plain text."
What a strong prompt includes

- Checks the data
