Check a PRD summary against the research before review
Practice: Catching mistakes and made-up facts. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
Your PRD summary goes to leadership review tomorrow. Ask for a check against the user research: exactly 3 numbered lines, each starting 'Supported', 'Not supported' or 'Overstated', then quoting the claim and giving the research fact in under 20 words. Plain text, no rewritten summary, nothing else. Write a prompt that gets that check.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Asking for a polish. The AI improves the wording and leaves the unsupported claims in. Try: Set it: "Exactly 3 numbered lines, each starting Supported, Not supported or Overstated."
- Not checking the numbers. The AI can't know '25%' has no source unless you ask it to compare. Try: Add: "Check every claim against the research findings."
- Getting a rewrite. AI adds a rewritten summary that may sneak in new claims. Try: Add: "No rewritten summary. Nothing else. Plain text."
