Check new menu descriptions against the allergen sheet
Practice: Catching mistakes and made-up facts. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
Your new menu descriptions go to the printer tomorrow. Ask for a check against the kitchen's allergen sheet: exactly 3 numbered lines, each naming a dish, quoting the problem phrase or missing allergen, and giving the fact from the allergen sheet. Plain text, no rewritten menu, nothing else. Write a prompt that gets that check.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Asking for general edits. The AI rewrites the descriptions to sound tastier and skips the allergens. Try: Set it: "Exactly 3 numbered lines, one per problem dish."
- Not comparing to the sheet. The AI reads the menu on its own and can't know the risotto has butter. Try: Add: "Check every claim and ingredient against the allergen sheet."
- Flagging the wrong thing. AI may doubt the torte's gluten-free claim, which the kitchen confirmed, and miss the new pecans. Try: Add: "Only real conflicts with the sheet, including Nov 6 changes. No rewrite. Plain text."
