About this exercise
Rewrite the clause in the material for new hires in plain English, exactly four short sentences, each under 20 words, written to "you". Keep the 10-day deadline, the form name, and who gets the form. Leave out the sentence about discipline, which HR covers elsewhere. Plain text. Add one last line, exactly: Compliance to confirm wording before use.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Dropping the details. The AI simplifies away the form name or deadline. Try: Say: "Keep the 10-day deadline, Form COI-2 and who gets it."
- Keeping the discipline line. The AI translates the whole clause. Try: Say: "Leave out the sentence about discipline."
- Too many or too long sentences. The AI writes a paragraph. Try: Say: "Exactly four sentences, each under 20 words, using you."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
- Markdown. The AI bolds words or adds headings. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
